Toby Joy Zelt, the most experienced adventure dog pack leader in the Pacific Northwest, works directly with your dog. WPA was established in 2016 giving Toby almost 10 years experience. Toby trailblazed the niche specialty of multi-sport activities with and for dogs and is a respected professional amongst peers. WPA’s reputation is unmatched.

Toby is a 5-time certified Wilderness First Responder, experienced in risk mitigation, search and rescue, and medical intervention in remote settings. Each dog must pass assessment prior to joining. Toby has honed every detail of the adventure day to ensure safety, and all dogs learn commands and expectations. New dogs wear a satellite GPS. Any scenario that may arise, Toby is prepared.

This is a method Toby developed over many years of observing dogs and working with them. Each dog has their own unique learning needs and different methods and feedback work for different dogs within different contexts. As a dog behavior expert, Toby reads the nuanced body language of dogs, which tells her when and how to respond for learning or behavior modification to take place.
